Fellow Property Owners-
It seems like yesterday the pools were open and Woodhaven was buzzing with barbeques and bands. What a fantastic fun filled summer. I know for me it has been a whirlwind of gatherings, campfires, and some of the best pot lucks around. A shout out to Section 14, you are the masters of potluck and I am a true fan and follower. I also had the pleasure of going to the “Togetherness Gathering” at the Pavilion. For those Property Owners who did the planning and donating time, food, beverage and entertainment, thank you for bringing the Woodhaven community spirit to life.
As I mentioned in my previous President’s Letter it is a wonderful thing to have Property Owners volunteer and be involved in our community. Over the past couple of months, we have placed notices in our newspaper and on our website for applications for committees and the response has been overwhelming. Thank you to all that applied. We didn’t have enough available spots, but when other opportunities to volunteer come up, we will follow up with you.
As an Association we never close so that means during the late Fall and throughout the winter the Board of Directors and Woodhaven Staff will be planning and preparing for the Summer of 2019. So continue to be involved and if you want to hear more about the proposed budget for the recommended assessment for 2019-2020, put Saturday, November 10th on your calendar for the Annual Budget Hearing, which will be held at the Family Center.
Lastly, I had the opportunity to meet new and current Property Owner friends at the “Meet and Greet” I held on September 15th at the Campstove Restaurant. It was great to share a cup of coffee with all. We will have to share a virtual cup of coffee in the late fall and winter months during my Facebook Live sessions so we can stay connected.
I will steal the words from the gathering at the Pavilion – Woodhaven Togetherness is the best!
Board of Directors President
