Kids Fishing Derby

The Annual Kids Fishing Derby is back, and children are eagerly preparing their fishing gear and practicing their casting skills. This exciting event brings together young anglers from all over the property for a day of fishing, bonding, and outdoor adventure. The Kids Fishing Derby not only introduces children to the joys of angling, but also instills a sense of respect for nature and the importance of conservation. Let’s dive into the details of this highly anticipated event that promises to create lasting memories for all involved:

• Only fish caught during the tournament may be entered.
• Fishing starts at 9 a.m. and officially ends at 11:30 a.m. The winners will be announced as soon as possible after fising ends. Only fish caught between 9-11:30 a.m. will count towards judging.
• Fishing is only allowed on Pine Lake.
• Live minnows for bait are strictly prohibited on all of Woodhaven’s lakes.
• This tournament is for participants ages 15 and under.
• Fish can be measured throughout the morning at the officiator’s table.
• Fish may be returned to the lake after being measured. There is a 1 bass per lake catch limit. Bass need 14in to keep.
